Youth support & young people

Savana has a dedicated youth support worker who provides essential support to our younger clients. Our YSW works both with existing clients and out in the wider community with schools and youth groups.

Support

Savana has clients from the age of 4 upwards. As well as one to one counselling and ISVA support we also offer groups for young people designed to improve confidence and resilience. These groups run for for 6 weeks and each session is around 1 hour long.

Awareness

We attend many outreach events and drop-down days in schools to raise awareness of sexual violence, empowering young people to have open discussions about difficult topics and experiences. We also encourage young people to join us in spreading awareness!

Prevention

We work closely with schools and youth groups to deliver PSHE and RSE sessions around all aspects of sexual violence and consent. We also offer targeted group work and drop-ins to help build resilience and tackle issues that may leave young people vulnerable.
